Who we are
Leasly is run by Lhasu, a sole-trader business in Australia [ABN: [ADD ABN]]. Contact us at hello@lhasu.com.
What we collect
- Your account: your name, email address and a scrambled (hashed) version of your password. We can't see your password.
- Your household: the name you give your place, your move date, the people in it, and the checklist you share.
- Things you add later: such as move-in photos, notes, shared costs and shared items, once those features are live.
- Basic technical data: a login cookie to keep you signed in, and your IP address in short-lived logs used to block repeated failed logins.
We don't collect bank details, card numbers or ID documents. Leasly never handles payments between housemates.
How we use it
- To run Leasly for you and your housemates.
- To send emails you need: invites, password resets and reminders.
- To see overall, anonymous trends (for example, how many households are moving in a given month). These never identify you.
We don't sell your personal information. If we ever offer to connect you with a business, like a removalist, we only share your details if you choose to request a quote, and we'll tell you exactly what's shared first.
Who can see it
People in your household can see the household's information and your name. Our hosting and email providers store data on our behalf so the service works.
Keeping and deleting it
We keep your information while your account is open. You can delete your account in Settings at any time. That deletes your account and any household where you're the only member. Shared households stay for your housemates, without your account.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information by emailing us. If you're unhappy with how we've handled it, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
